Membership Levels Become a Member of AIMBI Membership Levels There are several membership levels within AIMBI. Affiliate Member The base level is an "Affiliate" - person who is not professionally engaged in the field, but shares the goals and aspirations on the Institute. Practising Member A practising member is a person who earns the majority of their income from biomedical communication. This level is also the key to higher membership levels. Remote Member A level of membership that encompasses both of the above was developed for people who are too far away to attend the usual meetings. Student Member Students who are currently enrolled in studies relating to biomedical or communication courses at a recognised institution can also join as Student members. Corporate Member Corporate membership is open to companies or corporate bodies with an interest in the ambitions and objectives of AIMBI.
